New Elbit C4I Development Centre in Australia

Elbit Systems of Australia will grow its technological development capability in Australia at a new C4I Development Centre in Port Melbourne.

The new facility will continue development of the Battle Management System for the Australian Army under Land 200 Tranche 2.

Officially opening the new facility, Elbit Systems of Australia Chair, Haim Delmar said the C4I Development Centre was the result of the parent company’s long term strategic commitment to Australia.

“I’m really proud to see what we’ve achieved and the growth and commitment it demonstrates. It also shows the strength and the level of trust of our strategic partnership with the Australian Defence Force and that’s something that we value enormously,” Mr Delmar said.

The C4I Development Centre now employs more than 100 engineers and the company’s total staff compliment stands at nearly 250 people. Brisbane and Melbourne are the major sites with representation in Canberra and Darwin, as well as Commonwealth training establishments.
